Parameter Matching and Performance Analysis of a Master-Slave Electro-Hydraulic Hybrid Electric Vehicle

Abstract: To improve the battery state of charge (SOC) of the electric vehicle (EV), this paper proposes a master–slave electro-hydraulic hybrid electric vehicle (MSEH-HEV). The MSEH-HEV uses a planetary row as the core transmission component to realize the interconversion between mechanical energy, hydraulic energy and electrical energy. Meanwhile, this paper introduces the six working modes in vehicle operation, matches the parameters of key components to the requirements of the vehicle’s performance and designs a rul… Show more

“…Verification results indicated a reduction of 14.418% and 21.174% in the battery consumption rate for the MEH-PCEV in the new European driving cycle and the American city cycle, respectively. Jia et al 21 proposed a master-slave type hybrid electric-hydraulic power vehicle (MSEH-HEV). They designed a rule-based control strategy for energy allocation and mode switching.…”

“…These shortcomings persist at this point, regardless of how long the autonomy of the HEVs or EVs is. It should be mentioned that for HEVs not only the battery capacity is important, but also, the energy management system, and the powertrain architecture; for this reason, the subject is always relevant, and new solutions are sought [4][5][6][7][8][9][10].…”

“…The rationality of the parameters and the superiority of the MSEH‐HEV is verified. [ 16 ] Liu proposed an electric–hydrostatic hydraulic hybrid rail vehicle to address the low energy efficiency and poor downhill stability of the battery‐powered rail vehicle. [ 17 ] Zhou conducted a parametric study on the hydraulic drive (HD) system of a medium‐sized vehicle to meet its power requirements under urban driving conditions.…”
