Parameters extraction of photovoltaic sources based on experimental data

Abstract: This article presents an accurate computational technique for estimating the photovoltaic (PV) cell parameters from experimental measurements of the current-voltage (I-V) characteristics. The technique is based on using various evolutionary algorithms (EAs) and the double-diode eight-parameter cell model to precisely estimate unknown parameters. The proposed technique is implemented to extract the PV cell parameters of different manufacturer's modules by minimising the summation of absolute square errors betwe… Show more

“…The third test system has 123 buses, with 4.16 kV voltage level, and 3524.887 kW total active demand, and 1940.083 kVAR total reactive demand. These feeders are complex as each one is characterised by spot The model parameter was estimated experimentally in [28]. The control variable maximum and minimum limits are reported in Table 1.…”

“…The WE sources are modeled by the DFIG detailed model (type‐4) . The PV plants are modeled using the equivalent model described in References and using the single diode model to simulate each PV cell. The transient performance is studied when the system is subjected to a three‐phase short circuit fault at the location, F , as shown in Figure , and lasts for 120 milliseconds through the subsequent cases.…”
