Abstract

Coordinated action and social rehabilitation “crèches”. Two cross-sector initiatives for the rehabilitation of vulnerable single mothers. Having underscored the relevance today of the social rehabilitation of vulnerable single mothers, the article analyses two cross-sector initiatives designed to combine access to job support for these mothers with care for their child(ren). The first is to develop coordinated action between existing facilities for childcare and social rehabilitation, while the second involves the creation of a “ crèche” for association-based rehabilitation. While these two cross-sector initiatives have enjoyed a certain amount of success in the region concerned, their implementation, which requires partnerships between professionals from different sectors, has proven delicate. Examining their rollout allows us to highlight the importance of their economic model and the role of the intermediaries at their disposal (or not) at various levels.
