Patient with Refractory Multiple Myeloma Developing Eosinophilia after Lenalidomide Treatment and Lung Cancer 9 Months Later: Case Report and Review of the Literature

Abstract: A 78-year-old man was diagnosed as having advanced symptomatic IgG multiple myeloma in June 2008.

“…Eosinophilia secondary to lenalidomide is an adverse event not described in the summary of product characteristics, and there are very few reported cases in scientific literature. We have only found two reported cases of eosinophilia as a result of lenalidomide use for the treatment of multiple myeloma . Foti et al published the case of a 78‐year‐old woman who suffered from DRESS syndrome.…”
