Abstract: Background: Deprivation of circulating L-asparagine by L-asparaginase, which can lead to the inhibition of RNA and DNA synthesis and subsequent apoptosis of blastic cell, has been implemented as part of multidrug chemotherapy for acute lymphoblastic leukemia since decades ago.
