Abstract:Actinomycosis is a rare subacute to chronic granulomatous bacterial infection caused by actinomyces species. Pelvic actinomycosis is rare, often pretends to be malignant and therefore it is difficult to diagnose preoperatively. Here we discuss a case of a 45-years-old female who was operated for a pelvic mass thought to be malignant, but on histopathological examination it turned out to be a case of ovarian actinomycosis.
