This study aims to test the antibacterial activity of crude extracts and essential oils of citrus fruit peel calamansi against bacteria Staphylococcus auerus and Escherichia coli. Calamansi citrus fruit raw material is obtained from the village of Pondok Kubang, Bengkulu Tengah (3.70660 S, 102.35780 E). The crude extract of citrus fruit peel obtained from the maceration result using 96% etanol, furthermore crude extracts were obtained diluted concentrations of 40%, 20%, 10%,and 5%. The essential oil of citrus fruit peel is obtained from the distillation of stem-water, then made variation of concentration 20%, 15%, 10%, and 5%. The method used to test antibacterial activity is the method of paper disc diffusion. The antibacterial activity is shown by the presence on inhibitory zone diameter. The data of antibacterial test result were analyzed by using One Way Anova which showed the effect of treatment on test bacteria growth seen from (P<0,01) and continued by Duncan test to know the effect of treatment. The results showed that the crude extract of citrus fruit peel had antibacterial activity against S. aureus and E. coli bacteria with moderate inhibitory diameter is 10 mm and 7.2 mm (medium) at concentration of 40%. The essential oil of citrus fruit peel has antibacterial activity against S. Aureus and E. coli bacteria with each inhibitory zone diameter 12,7 mm (strong) and 8,3 mm (medium) at concentration 20%.
