Abstract:Acrylamide is a chemical commonly used for water treatment 45%, oil drilling 20%, pulp and paper 20%, mining 10%, and other 5%. Acrylamide is naturally formed from starchy foods/carbohydrates heated at a temperature of 120 C. Acrylamide contamination can be through surface water or ground air, through air channels that flow into wells, rivers, to the sea.
