The research aims to evaluate the actual reality of occupational health and safety management in the Diyala and Salah al-Din Electricity Distribution Departments. Then determine the possibility of applying the international standard ISO: 45001:2018 in them. This was after diagnosing the gap between the actual reality and the requirements of the targeted specification, and from this standpoint the research problem raised questions to the effect of (to what extent is the occupational health and safety management system available in the Diyala and Salah al-Din Electricity Distribution Departments in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO: 45001:2018? And what is the extent of the gap between reality? Actual and specification requirements? Several hypotheses were formulated to answer these questions. We also adopted the case study approach and used the Checklist as a main tool in the research, which included the seven (7) main items of the standard. It was found that the percentage of availability of the specification items (ISO: 45001:2018) in general was (64%, with a gap of (36%) in the Diyala Electricity Distribution District, and (76.7%), with a gap of (23.2%) in the Salah al-Din Electricity Distribution District. It became clear that there was a significant difference in application, as preference was given to the Salah al-Din Distribution District. As a result of these results, a set of recommendations were presented with the aim of addressing the weaknesses in the two departments under study, leading to bridging or reducing the gap to effectively implement the occupational safety and health management system.

Industrial welding is a workplace with a high risk of causing health problems and work fatigue. Welding smoke contains dust and gas; this content can later cause several disorders, such as conjunctivitis. This study aims to determine the factors associated with irritant conjunctivitis in welding workers at PT. Indonesian Ship Industry (Persero) Makassar City. This type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional study design. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square statistical test. The population in this study were welding workers at PT. Indonesian Ship Industry (Persero) Makassar City. The research sample is all welding workers at PT—Indonesian Ship Industry (Persero) Makassar City, totalling 40 workers taken using the total sampling method. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between exposure to welding fumes (p=0.000), use of PPE (p=0.025) and irritant conjunctivitis and no significant relationship between knowledge (p=0.509) and irritant conjunctivitis. This study concludes that a relationship exists between exposure to welding fumes, use of PPE and irritant conjunctivitis in welding workers at PT. Indonesian Ship Industry (Persero) Makassar City.

Introduction : According to the International Labor Organization, almost every year there are 1000 times the number of non-fatal work accidents when compared with fatal work accidents. to the income generated by workers. Purpose: This study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes with the adherence to the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for cleaners at the Environmental Office of Baubau City. Methods: This research is an analytic research design with a cross sectional study design approach. The population and sample are all cleaning workers who work at the Baubau City Environmental Service, totaling 107 respondents using total sampling. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire, with chi-Square data analysis. Results: research using the chi square test shows that there is a relationship between knowledge (p-value = 0.000 <0.05), and attitude (p-value = 0.000 <0.05) with compliance with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for cleaning workers in Baubau City Environmental Service. Conclusion: there is knowledge about compliance with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for cleaning staff at the Baubau City Environmental Service. And there is a relationship between attitude and compliance with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for cleaning workers at the Baubau City Environmental Service.
