This paper presents an analysis of the use of the Learning Management System (LMS) as a learning media for students of the Department of Physics Education at Universitas Syiah Kuala. It aims to determine student and lecturer perceptions, assess the advantages and challenges of LMS, and study its correlation with learning outcomes. Data was collected through a survey distributed to 13 lecturers and 35 students. The survey questionnaire included 7 statements on LMS use by lecturers and 5 questions on student access frequency during learning. Data were analyzed with quantitative descriptive and descriptive statistics with correlation analysis to determine the correlation of LMS to student learning outcomes. The results showed that most students and lecturers had positive perceptions of LMS and often used it for physics courses. This study also found a significant positive relationship between the frequency of LMS use and student learning outcomes. LMS is highly beneficial, enabling flexible learning. However, some lecturers’ technical skill gaps hinder LMS-based lectures in some courses. Encourage instructors and administrators to support LMS use. This study contributes to the literature on LMS in higher education, especially for physics education.

ABSTRACT The COVID-19 pandemic forced learning activities at schools to be temporarily suspended, in which all students remained at home. In the end, it was quickly decided to study from home. This was initially a major issue in education, but over time, there was a development in learning media, specifically E-learning, which became a learning medium used from the pandemic to the post-pandemic. This study aims to determine the effect and effectiveness of using e-learning media in Wahidin Middle School, Cirebon City. This study uses a quantitative method with the design of the One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. Data collection techniques include observation, tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of this study indicate PAI learning using e-learning media has an effect on student learning outcomes with the average score between the experimental class and the control class being 80.50 > 79.67. The use of E-Learning media in PAI subjects is effective on student learning outcomes as indicated by Mann Whitney test results, where the probability value of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, which means that there is a significant difference in student learning outcomes when using e-learning.

The use of lecture and group presentation method in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) course in online learning at 17 Agustus 1945 Semarang University (Untag Semarang) in the first semester of academic year 2021-2022 has an impact on the students’ acceptance. It is studied using qualitative approach. From the result of interview which was then associated with the result of observations during the teaching and learning process and then compared it with the result of the questionnaire, it can be seen that the application of the lecture method through the explanation of the material from the lecturer make students easier to understand the material than having to learn themselves. 79.8% of students like the lecture method and only 52.9% of students choose group presentation method. They also do not understand the explanation of online group presentations from other students. Judging from 41.3% of students, the reason is because they cannot discuss the material face to face.
