Control of HIV/AIDS infection can be done by screening at-risk groups in the social environment to prevent transmission. This study aims to determine the social environment of friends, family, and society’s influence on HIV/AIDS incidence. The study was conducted in December 2020–January 2021 at six Bandar Lampung health centers. The 111 respondents were divided into case/reactive and control/non-reactive groups, with a 1:2 ratio (37:74). Data were obtained by interview. The independent variables were the social environment of friends, family, and community, while the dependent variable was HIV/AIDS incidence. The data were analyzed bivariate and multivariate with the Binary Logistics Regression test utilizing Minitab 16 application, with CI 90% and α 0.1 significance level. The results showed that friends with HIV’s social environment had p 0.087; friend's education p 0.542; risky behavior from friends p 0.853; friends with risky behavior p 0,172; HIV family social environment p 0.999; family education p 0.999; risky behavior from family p 0.998; families with risky behavior p 0.999; HIV community social environment p 0.999; public education p 0.330; risk behavior from the community p 0.690; community with risky behavior p 0.862. Thus, only friends with HIV’s social environment affected HIV/AIDS incidence. Furthermore, having friends with HIV’s social environment will increase the risk of getting HIV/AIDS.

Key populations such as PSP (Female Sex Workers) are one of the factors that have the potential to influence the number of HIV-positive cases. The prevalence of HIV cases in Indonesia in the PSP group is 2.1%. This study aimed to examine the spatial distribution of HIV cases in PSP (Women Sex Workers) in Palembang City. This type of research is descriptive with an ecological study design. The population groups studied were 41 Public Health Center, 14 hospitals, and other HIV services such as Class I Rutan and Class IIA Women's Prisons in 18 sub-districts in Palembang City. The study used secondary data from the KT, and TIPK HIV Reports from the City Health Office, while spatial data were obtained from government websites and Google Maps. The results showed that the distribution area of the PSP key population was at most 23 Ilir, Merdeka health center and Campus health center, and in the working area of hospitals, detention centers, and women's prisons, there was no distribution of PSP key populations. Then, the distribution of HIV-positive cases in the PSP key population found no distribution of HIV confirmed cases in the working area of the public health center or the working area of hospitals, detention centers, and women's prisons. The need for further attention to policymakers on the unequal distribution of VCT services and socialization from health workers is also needed to increase awareness of PSP key populations regarding the importance of conducting VCT to prevent and control HIV cases in key populations to suppress HIV cases in Palembang City.

Pendahuluan: Orang dengan HIV AIDS (ODHA) akan mengalami krisis afektif pada diri sendiri, keluarga, dan masyarakat, dalam bentuk kepanikan, ketakutan, kecemasan, serba ketidakpastian, keputusasaan, dan stigma yang berdampak pada kualitas hidup, sehingga membutuhkan penanganan setiap problem yang dialami ODHA, salah satunya adalah program Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT). Tujuan: penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan secara mendalam tentang pengalaman ODHA menjalani VCT. Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah fenomenologi deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama 1 bulan dengan jumlah partisipan 10 orang yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Partisipan dipilih dengan bantuan petugas puskesmas sebagai gatekeeper yang telah diberikan penjelasan sebelumnya terkait tujuan penelitian dan kriteria partisipan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pendekatan analisis selektif dan focusing. Hasil: penelitian ini mengidentifikasi tiga tema utama yaitu : 1) pentingnya mengikuti VCT, 2) proses mnjalani VCT , dan 3) hasil dari proses yang dijalani. Kesimpulan: ODHA merasakan pentingnya mengikuti VCT untuk dapat mendeteksi penyakit secara dini dan memperoleh pengobatan serta dukungan sosial untuk menghadapi stigma dan diskriminasi.
