The media and village development are two subjects that remain relevant and important to discuss. The article aimed to further examine village development issues in regional online news media. Suka (a fictitious name is adopted in this study to disguise the real name of the online news media), as a regional online news media, plays a strategic role in disseminating the regional government's agenda, helping monitor and evaluate regional policies, and providing information on the ideal village development measures. This study used a content analysis approach. The results of this study indicate that, in 2021, Suka reported seven news stories containing content with the keyword of village development. Those stories suggested four main issues of village development, namely sustainable village development, tourism village development, involvement of people with disabilities in village development, and the role of women and universities in village development. In these four main issues, a number of policy values in village development should be addressed by policymakers in formulating village development policies, namely integrated and sustainable development, utilization of local resources in development, along with increasing the role of the disabled people, women, and universities in village development.

This article discusses integrating State Defense principles and values into the sustainable tourism development strategy in Sleman Regency. Tourism is essential for Sleman Regency, but rapid growth brings environmental, social, and cultural challenges. With a diverse social structure regarding ethnicity, religion, and socio-economic level, Sleman Regency has the potential for friction between different groups. However, these groups have synergy and mutual tolerance in developing sustainable tourism in Sleman Regency. On that basis, this research aims to answer what factors bind them together.This research uses a qualitative-descriptive method, with data collection techniques by conducting observations, interviews, and literature studies. The finding of this research is that the main factor that causes diverse communities to synergise and tolerate each other in the development of sustainable tourism in Sleman Regency is the national awareness of the people in tourist destinations of the responsibility of citizens to the interests of the nation and State in development so that this attitude strengthens the sustainable tourism development program. This article concludes that Sleman Regency integrates the principles and values of State Defense in tourism policy, develops cultural preservation programs, and increases cooperation between the government, tourism industry, and the community as part of a sustainable tourism development strategy. Hopefully, this article can contribute thoughts and guidelines for policymakers and related parties in developing sustainable tourism that considers the principles of State Defense in Sleman Regency.

Sejarah pemaknaan perkampungan di Kota Yogyakarta dapat diidentifikasi berdasarkan keahlian abdi dalem kraton dan tempat tinggal prajurit kraton, masing-masing berjumlah 38 dan 12 nama perkampungan. Regionalisasi perkampungan di Kota Yogyakarta yang dilakukan berupa pengelompokkan perkampungan berdasarkan keahlian abdi dalem kraton, tempat tinggal prajurit kraton, serta kondisi nama dalem (rumah) pangeran dan bangsawan. Keterbukaan informasi di era industrialisasi 4.0 memiliki peran yang sangat penting dan dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menyebarluaskan pengetahuan nilai-nilai budaya maupun sejarah suatu tempat. Manfaat dari media online salah satunya adalah menyimpan informasi sejarah kampung, lokasi, foto, dan landmark dari Kampung di Kota Yogyakarta secara digital dan mudah diakses dari manapun. Informasi spasial pewilayahan dan pemaknaan sejarah nama kampung di Kota Yogyakarta yang disebarluaskan melalui berbagai media dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap sejarah maupun budaya yang tersirat dalam kampung.
