Penghayatan Nilai-Nilai Moral pada Upacara Seba dalam Meningkatkan Spiritualitas Masyarakat Adat Kabuyutan Ciburuy Kabupaten Garut

Abstract

Realitas pelaksanaan upacara seba sebagai bentuk tradisi budaya yang dijalankan oleh masyarakat adat kabuyutan ciburuy memiliki pengaruh yang besar didalam kehidupan sebagai penyeimbang spiritual sehingga upacara seba masih dijalankan pada setiap generasi. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai moral yang terkandung didalam upacara seba pada masyarakat adat kabuyutan ciburuy dalam meningkatkan spiritual. Metode penelitian yang digunakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teori yang digunakan yaitu teori nilai moral. Data diperoleh melalui teknik pengumpulan datanya kepada para tokoh setempat, warga sekitar, pengunjung yang datang melalui proses wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa prosesi upacara Seba yang dilaksanakan di Situs Kabuyutan Ciburuy ada tiga tahapan yaitu persiapan upacara, puncak upacara, dan penutupan upacara. Nilai-nilai moral yang terdapat dalam upacara seba meningkatkan spiritual masyarakat adat karena makna didalamnya yang dipegang teguh dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat.
