Distance learning is not new to education, but it requires more dedication and initiative than the implementation of conventional education. Distance learning in lectures is the implementation of learning when students and lecturers cannot attend face to face at the same time in the campus lecture hall. One of the efforts to implement distance learning is to use interactive literacy activities. This study aims to examine that this era has implications for Indonesia as a country that wants to become a developed country, especially in education. This type of research is descriptive research in the literature. The results of the description discuss (1) Efforts to adapt natural science practicum learning according to the times; (2) Provision of teaching materials to support the tutorial interaction process in natural science practicum activities; and (3) Students' readiness in implementing natural science practicum in distance learning. This study highlights several theoretical and empirical contributions. It provides recommendations that the implementation of remote practicum through digital media and the use of materials available in the surrounding environment need interactive instruction support to support student practicum competencies

Hasil survei TIMSS memberikan gambaran tentang rendahnya prestasi IPA siswa yang ada di Indonesia sehingga perlu dilakukan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran khususnya IPA. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengetahui kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran sains di SD Negeri Pajang 1 Surakarta, (2) merumuskan desain media pembelajaran yang cocok untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA di SD Negeri Pajang 1 Surakarta, dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran komik yang disebut "KOMSA" dalam materi rangka untuk pembelajaran IPA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan melalui model Plomp yang dimodifikasi dengan menghilangkan fase implementasi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah (1) penggunaan media pembelajaran yang belum optimal, (2) desain pembelajaran media adalah media komik berbasis kontekstual, dan hasilnya adalah produk prototype media pembelajaran komik yang disebut "KOMSA" pada materi rangka. Rekomendasi untuk peneliti selanjutnya dapat mengembangkan media komik “KOMSA” untuk materi pelajaran lain yang bersifat abstrak dan sulit dipahami oleh siswa. The low quality of education have an effect quality of the nation. One of efforts to improve quality of education in Indonesia involve metacognitive abilities. The component of cognitive regulation in metacognitive will make the students mind systematic. This study aims to analyze the STEM-based learning strategy everyone is a teacher here on metacognitive abilities. The type of this research was a quasi experimental design with a pre-test and post-test control group design. The amount of data sample of this research is 103 students of fifth grade and the research sample amount is 55 students. The research instrument used has been through validity and reliability tests. Data analysis used in this study were normality test (Kolmogorov-Smirnov) and hypothesis testing (Wilcoxon test and Mann Whitney test).The result showed an increase in metocnitive abilities outcome that can be seen based on the result of pre-test and post-test, experiment class and control class. It was proven in testing the hypothesis, which states that value Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) 0,047 < 0,05 which means Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. So it can be conclude that learning using the STEM-based learning strategy of everyone is a teacher here is effective in incrase the metacognitive abilities of students. Through STEM-based learning strategy everyone is a teacher here, metacognitive abilities can be enhanced based on soft skill, hard skill and creativity in building knowledge in the science learning process throught the water cycle and impact on living beings.
