Performance Evaluation of Fuzzy-PID in Speed Control of Three Phase Induction Motor

Abstract: Induction motor (IM) is one of AC motor type which mainly applied for adjustable speed applications and consumes approximately 60% of the total industrial electricity consumption. IM is chosen due to its simple structure, reliability, high efficiency, and low cost. There are two main methods in speed and torque control of IM which are scalar control and vector control. Vector control is divided again as Field Oriented Control (FOC) and Direct Torque Control (DTC). In this research, DTC is chosen due to its sim… Show more

“…An example of a method known as hybrid fuzzy controller consisted of PI-type Fuzzy controller and conventional PI controller for improving the controllers' performances can be found in [21]- [23]. In other cases, for example [24], [25], hybrid fuzzy-PID controller method has been used in which the proposed method was simulated for 3-Phase induction motor system. In their paper, [26] reported an implementation of the adaptive fuzzy control and conventional PI controller on a PV grid connected inverters.…”

“…is technique has the capability of manipulating the space vectors of voltage, current, and magnetic flux [2,3] e fundamental benefit of this technology is that the flux and torque components maybe separated in the same manner as they can be separated in an independently stimulated direct current (DC) motor. Highspeed induction motor speed control simulation was reported by Maghfiroh et al [4]. e simulation was based on direct current technology.…”
