Entrepreneurship is an important component of modern society, and women increasingly seek it to support their families. These women have market expertise, risk-taking skills, business savvy, and an unwavering will to achieve. They contribute to global economic growth and development while breaking free from societal and cultural restraints. However, achieving work-life balance is a big difficulty for female entrepreneurs, with 29% unable to do so compared to 17% of males. Obstacles include childcare, spouse care, and parent care. Despite these limitations, women's participation in entrepreneurial activities promotes work-life balance. This chapter will look at the numerous hurdle's women confront, focusing on the reasons that motivate or deter women from starting businesses. By integrating current research with fresh insights, this study aims to add to the knowledge that would benefit policymakers, professionals, and academics on the need to overcome socio-cultural barriers to women's entrepreneurial involvement.
