Abstract.As is widely used in many important engineering load-bearing structures, sandwich structure has attracted more attention. In this paper, we concern the existence of periodic motion for two degrees of freedom sandwich plate in 1:3 internal resonance with aerodynamic loads and in-plane force, and obtain the sufficient conditions for the existence of periodic solution. The main technique we use is the combination of multiple scales method and Melnikov function. Furthermore, the numerical method is used to give an intuitive understanding for the periodic motion of the plate. The result will provides theoretical basis for the sandwich plate design of good anti-vibration performance.
