Abstract:This is a case report of a rare malignant mesenchymal tumor, juxtacortical (periosteal) osteosarcoma arising from the mandible in a 17 year old boy. About 4%-6% of osteosarcomas occur in the maxillofacial region, while incidence of osteosarcoma occurring in jaw is 0.7 per million population.
