This study intends to examine the influence of geographical and infrastructure factors on poverty in the Bogor, Depok and Bekasi (Bodebek) areas in West Java Province. To achieve the objectives of the penelitian, a regression method is used using the poverty variable as the dependent variable. While the dependent variables are divided into 4 (four) groups, which are divided into groups of variables of geography, infrastructure, population economy, and macroeconomic variables. The data used in this study came from the raw data of the Village Potential Data Collection (Podes) of West Java Province released by the Central Statistics Agency. The data period used is Podes data in 2011, 2014 and 2018. The scope of the study was at the village / kelurahan level with a household-level analysis unit. The observations cover 5 buffer areas of the State Capital in West Java Province, including Bekasi Regency, Bekasi City, Bogor Regency, Bogor City and Depok City. The total samples used from the six regions were 802 villages and sub-districts. The data analysis technique used is a panel data regression technique or model. The processing of research data was carried out using stata 13 software. The study concluded that factors of geography, infrastructure, economic conditions of the population as well as macroeconomic variables influenced or at least related to poverty in the areas of Bogor Regency, Bogor City, Depok City, Bekasi Regency and Bekasi City (Bodebek). The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector plays an important role in the development of a country, providing massive revenues and employment opportunities. However, the challenges of MSMEs sector are now exacerbated with the situation of COVID-19 due to the business limitation and degrading economic situation. In addition to financial difficulties, there is also the concern on the well-being of MSMEs practitioners which can influence the sustainability of the sector. This research was conducted with the purpose of investigating the level of well-being for MSMEs practitioners. The approach of subjective well-being using Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) and scale of positive and negative experience (SPANE) were implemented in a form of questionnaire. A total of 119 MSMEs practitioners were collected in this study, with their level of well-being investigated, as well as the challenges and innovations experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic. The findings in this study show that the MSMEs practitioners under association support were majority within medium and high levels of well-being, however this study also takes note of practitioners within low-level of well-being. Hence there is the implication challenge to formulate policy intervention to support MSMEs sector which integrate the financial and mental health aspect to maintain the sustainability of the sector.

(Primatami & Hidayati, 2019) menyatakan IKM terbukti ampuh sebagai penyelamat dalam krisis ekonomi yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor: (1) sebagian IKM menghasilkan barang-barang konsumsi (consumer goods), yang dicirikan oleh permintaan terhadap perubahan pendapatan (income elasticity of demand) yang relatif rendah; (2) mayoritas IKM lebih mengandalkan pada non banking financing dalam aspek pendanaan usaha; (3) pada umumnya IKM melakukan spesialisasi produksi yang ketat, dalam artian hanya memproduksi barang atau jasa tertentu, karena terbatasnya modal; dan (4) terbentuknya IKM terutama di sektor informal sebagai akibat dari banyaknya pemutusan hubungan kerja di sektor formal akibat krisis yang berkepanjangan .…”

Industri kecil dan menengah memiliki peran strategis dalam pembangunan ekonomi di Indonesia, terutama dalam menyerap tenaga kerja unskill dan semi skill. Selama ini terbukti mampu membantu keluar dari krisis keuangan yang terjadi. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan strategi yang tepat guna memberdayakan industri kerajinan secara optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan cluster sampling dan respondennya adalah mereka yang berperan dalam pemberdayaan UKM. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis SWOT untuk menghasilkan strategi besar seperti penelitian strategi. Hasil penelitian ini: faktor strategis internal yang mempengaruhi pembangunan berkelanjutan IKK di Bali, diantaranya adalah perspektif keuangan yang terdiri dari; ketersediaan modal kerja dan efektivitas penggunaan dana; perspektif pelanggan yang terdiri dari dukungan promosi, pangsa pasar, dan harga produk. faktor strategis eksternal antara lain perspektif keuangan antara lain tingkat inflasi, tingkat pertumbuhan ekonomi, tingkat suku bunga, dan ketersediaan bahan baku dengan harga yang terjangkau; perspektif pelanggan, termasuk budaya masyarakat, sikap masyarakat, dan pertumbuhan populasi.
