Jabodetabek and Greater Bandung Metropolitan areas experiencing the phenomenon of urban expansion which has caused both metropolitan areas to be more connected and become a mega-urban area by a corridor through a conurbation process. Karawang regency is part of the region in the Jakarta-Bandung corridor. The increasing number of population in the region will encourage the addition of number and types of public facilities. The objectives of this study were to analyze the regional development and spatial distribution pattern of the Village Development Index/ Indeks Perkembangan Desa (IPD) in Karawang regency. Regional development was analyzed using scalogram analysis, while spatial distribution pattern of the IPD was analyzed using Global and Local Moran Index. Regional development analysis shows the distribution of the IPD in 2014 has increased from 2003. Analysis of spatial distribution pattern of IPD values from 2003 and 2014 shows the clustered distribution patterns in some sub-districts.

The development of various greetings before and after learning is made to provide additional references and treatment from teachers to students in interesting learning. The purpose of this study was to describe the development of a variety of greetings before and after learning in Public Alementary Cchool 5 Mendo Barat. The research method used is the Research and Development method with the Thiagarajan Four-D development model which consists of four stages of research, namely (1) defining, including initial analysis, student analysis, concept analysis, and formulation of learning objectives; (2) planning (design) media selection, format selection, and preparation of various greeting media before and after learning; (3) development, including expert validation and testing; and (4) disseminate, including reproduction, socialization, and reflection. The results of this research. The definition stage 1) there is no media variation of greetings before and after learning; 2) lack of student moral character, and 3) teachers do not have information or references related to variations in greetings before and after learning. Researchers began to design a variety of greeting media with preface, table of contents, contents, author's biography, and back cover, on A4 paper size and 12 pt Garamond font. The variety of media greetings before and after learning resulted from the teacher's response to 93.33% of the process. It can be seen from the greeting activities before and after learning the moral character of students. The moral character is not indifferent when invited to discuss, resulting in 60% of the 20 students, the character of piety including a sense of responsibility and good cooperation of the students as much as 60%, the character of polite and respectful with students greeting by shaking hands every time they go to school, speaking politely 70% of teachers and friends, the character of manners in the form of like to help friends if asked for help as much as 70%.

The characteristics of mountain villages are very different from valley villages and plain villages, but socio-economically and environmentally related to each other. This study aims to analyze the level of development of physical facilities in mountain villages, analyze the village development index based on the dimensions of village development, and analyze the components of socio-economic, environmental, and developmental characteristics of mountainous villages in Central Java. Analysis of the level of development of mountainous village physical facilities used skalogram based on PODES 2018 data, village development index based on the dimensions of village development used the Village Index (ID) calculation formula, and analysis of the characteristics of the socio-economic, environmental, and developmental components of mountain villages used Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Results of the analysis of the level of development of the physical facilities of the mountainous villages show that 413 villages (67.81%) of the mountains are in the third hierarchical class (less developed). The category of village development based on the dimensions of development shows that mountain villages are included in the category of developing villages with an average value of ID 54.17. The components that best characterize the characteristics of mountainous villages are the potential for the danger of 21.9%, the availability of secondary school education facilities, health facilities, and the village development level of 16%, the component of trade facilities 5.8. %, the component of the availability of the micro-industry is 13.25%, and the component of the availability of health facilities are 8.8%.
