“…It is known that non-Hodgkin lymphomas and C. L.L. lymphocytes with Ig surface membrane (B lymphocytes) are very increased both in pery pheral blood and in lymph node suspensions [ 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, 13, 14, 16, 18, 21], whereas, on the contrary, E rosetting and PHA responsive cells (T lymphocytes) show levels lower than normal [2,14,15], Similar immunological modifications were present in 4 out of 6 patients examined (table I): 2 with generalised lymphoma and gastric involvement and 2 out of 4 with primary striking gastric lymphoid ''hyperplasia" . These modifications exceeded widely the range of the normal values (table l) and, in parti cular, both T and B cells show quantitative differences more marked than those of controls with comparable age.…”
