Phase Equilibria of the Al–Cr–Ta Ternary System at 1000 and 1200 °C

Abstract: The isothermal sections of the Al-Cr-Ta ternary system at 1000 and 1200°C have been determined by means of electron probe microanalysis and x-ray diffraction. The results show that eleven and nine three-phase regions are determined in the isothermal sections at 1000°C and 1200°C, respectively. No ternary compound exists at both two isothermal sections.
