“…It is speculated that the surface facets of particles produced by LASiS result from energy minimisation approaching a thermodynamic equilibrium-driven shape [ 17 ]. This might be caused by the short crystal growth time due to the high cooling rates [ 8 , 18 ].…”

“…The precursor solutions were prepared in deionised water by dissolving defined amounts of AgNO 3 with concentrations varying as 0.01 M, 0.005 M, 0.002 M and 0.001 M. The typical synthesis was performed with a single-step USP equipment comprised of carrier and/or reaction gas, flow regulator, ultrasonic aerosol generator (1.7 MHz; Gapusol, RBI, France), horizontal wall heated furnace with a quartz tube reactor and the washing bottles filled with ethanol, to capture the nanoparticles ( Figure 10 b). Details of this equipment have been previously described in the literature [ 8 , 18 ]. The optimal nitrogen flow of 1.5 L/min and reaction temperature of 800 °C were fixed to assure complete decomposition of silver nitrate.…”

“…On examining the ZnO/BiVO 4 heterojunction, it is noted that many techniques have been used for the preparation of the ZnO/BiVO 4 binary composite. ,,, Among these various methods, ultrasonication is one of the most popular techniques for the creation of the photocatalyst heterojunction. This is due to the advantages of low cost, low energy consumption, and easy control. …”
