Infertility is a social health problem that affects approximately 1/7 of the population in the reproductive age worldwide and can cause financial and emotional stress (Sarac & Koc, 2018). Semen pathologies and male-related factors appear in about half of the couples who have infertility (Aston, Krausz, Laface, Ruiz-Castane, & Carrell, 2010). Negative effects of the diet, lifestyle, environmental factors, medications and chronic exposure to toxic substances in individuals with infertility have been reported in public health studies (Gabrielsen & Tanrikut, 2016).
