Abstract:Photobiomodulation (PBM) is a modulation of monochromatic light or laser irradiation (LI) on biosystems, which stimulates or inhibits biological functions but does not result in irreducible damage. As photonic approaches suggested to enhance muscle restoration, the PBM of low intensity LI (LIL), _10 mW/cm2, moderate intensity LI (MIL), 102 3 mW/cm2, and photodynamic effect (PDE) on muscle regeneration have been reviewed in vitro and in vivo from the viewpoints of homeostatic regulation, respectively.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
