“…Except for the binary II-VI class compound, very few ternary p-type and n-type semiconductors have been studied in the literature for PEC cells [11]. Becker et al [12] have reported the PEC properties of single crystal p-Acr 2 Se 4 (A-Hg, Cd) photo-anodes in aqueous Fe-TEA and Cr-EDTA electrolytes 0013 and obtained ∼1% for p-HgCr 2 S 4 and of 0.04% for p-CdCr 2 Se 4 thin films.
