Abstract:Using pitch-angle-resolved electron fluxes recorded by the Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution spacecraft over 5 yr, we present a detailed analysis of the occurrence patterns of photoelectron butterfly pitch-angle distributions (PADs) in the Martian ionosphere.
