Physico-Mechanical Properties of Filled Polyethylene Films

Abstract: The mechanical, optical and electrical properties of low density polyethylene (LDPE) and linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) films with and without fillers have been studied. The variation of properties resulting from the addition of inorganic fillers included an increase in haze, diffusion of light, and tear strength for films made with both LDPE and LLDPE, while increasing the burst strength and elongation of the LDPE films only.
