Physicochemical Characterization of the Inclusion Complex of Diosmetin with Hydroxypropyl-β-Cyclodextrin

Abstract: In this study, the inclusion complex of diosmetin with hydroxypropyl-β- -cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) was prepared to improve the water solubility of diosmetin by the solvent method. The content of diosmetin in the complex was determined by UV. And the physicochemical properties of the complex were analyzed by ultraviolet-visible spectrometry (UV), infrared spectrometry (IR), X-ray diffractometry (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results showed that the physical phase of diosmetin had been changed.… Show more

“…The average intensity peaks observed at 7.6°, 9.2°, and 14.5°, along with peaks spanning the 2 θ range from 15° to 25°, and the weak intensity peaks at the 2 θ range between 35° and 45°, provide additional evidence of crystalline structure. Comparable findings to those related to diosmetin were found in the study conducted by Yan Zhang and colleagues [17] . Nanofibers containing DT at various CMC concentrations also exhibited the presence of low‐intensity noise peaks at 2 θ values around 11°, 14°, 20°, 23.5°, and 33°.…”

“…In the curve of DT, there is a sharp endothermic peak at 258 °C which is assigned to the melting point. The study led by Yan Zhang and his team yielded comparable findings related to diosmetin [17] . However, the characteristic melting point peak of diosmetin is no longer observed in the two fiber samples, possibly due to the low concentration of diosmetin in the fibers.…”
