“…Since herbal extracts are derived from living organisms, they inherently exhibit characteristics optimized through evolution to serve various speci c biological functions [76], giving them multipotential properties that allow for simultaneous targeting [77]. Among the 44 plant families identi ed, 10 of them stand out for their exceptional pain-relieving properties in orofacial pain, as assessed by achieving a SUCRA score over 50%.…”

“…In 2021, Bao-jia et al separated thymol-related metabolites from the petroleum ether extract of the whole plant: 8-hydroxy-9,10-diisobutyryloxy-thymol (3), 8,10-dihydroxy-9-isobutyryloxy-thymol (4), 9-hydroxy-thymol (2), 10-hydroxy-8,9-dioxy-isopropylidenethymol (5), and 8-hydroxy-9,10-dioxy-isopropylidene-thymol (6) were elucidated through the comparison of their spectral data with the literature. These compounds were assessed for their cytotoxicity (Conc.…”

“…It was also reported that more than 80% of people worldwide rely on traditional medicines as a primary source of healthcare, involving the utilization of plant extracts or their phytoconstituents [4]. Recently, plantderived metabolites have become greatly important due to their structural diversity and promising bioactivities [5][6][7]. utilized for bruises, bronchitis, and hepatitis [16].…”
