Abstract:Alzheimer's disease, (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by cognitive dysfunction and is an age-related disease. The neuropathology of AD is -amyloid (A) peptide in the brain and causes neurofibrillary tangles. The acetylcholine level is reduced in the hippocampus and acetylcholinesterase (AChE) is enhanced causing memory deterioration.
