Pilkada, Peran Partai dan Konstelasi Pragmatis: Kajian Atas Pilgub Banten, DKI Jakarta, Jateng dan Jatim Tahun 2017-2018

Abstract

AbstrakPartai politik telah menemukan kembali momentum untuk dapat lebih berperan dalam proses politik termasuk dalam kontestasi pengisian jabatan publik. Tulisan ini membahas beberapa fenomena yang mengindikasikan adanya kondisi negatif dari eksistensi partai politik terkait dengan pilkada. Fenomena ini adalah tidak hadirnya sosok kepala daerah yang merupakan pimpinan partai di daerah itu, masih kuatnya peran jaringan non-partai dalam kontestasi politik, hingga dominasi pragmatisme dalam menentukan koalisi yang kerap menyingkirkan idealisme atau ideologi partai yang secara keseluruhannya memperlihatkan kerentanan partai di Indonesia. Tulisan ini menunjukkan hal-hal yang menyebabkan itu semua. Selain itu tulisan ini menawarakan beberapa solusi agar berbagai kelemahan itu dapat teratasi dan sekaligus diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pilkada di kemudian hari. “…There are various causes of the emergence of mixed or varied political party coalitions in the contestation of regional elections, including the high costs incurred to win in every regional election event in Indonesia (Sjahrir et al, 2014), the limited funding faced by political parties, and the absence of populist figures owned by political parties, the behavior of electing people who do not see political parties that carry candidates for a regional head, but more because of personal interest in the candidate, and also money politics (Surbekti, 2014), and the strong role of nonpolitical parties network in political contestation to the value of pragmatism in determining political party coalitions often dominate and get rid of ideals or ideological similarities in political parties (Noor, 2018).…”

But the pragmatism behavior shown by political parties in building coalitions as a whole shows the vulnerability of political party coalition systems in Indonesia (Noor, 2018).…”

“…Proses demokrasi bisa dideskripsikan melalui berbagai ajang pemilihan kepala daerah terutama bisa direpresentasikan melalui pemilihan presiden. Kemenangan berbagai calon dalam pilkada terdapat konstelasi pragmatis atas praktik politik di dalamnya (Fatchuriza, & Prasojo, 2019;Noor, 2018).
