Traditionally, off the Gulf of Guinea and coast of Ghana, the modus operandi of piracy includes speedboat use in order to "to attack and dispossess shipping crew of cash, cargo and valuable, when the vessel is at anchor or in harbour, but mostly close to shore" [6].
