Abstract: As cidades e sua população estão diante de impactos cada vez mais intensos decorrentes das mudanças climáticas. Estes impactos acabam por impor custos à sociedade, degradação dos recursos naturais, intensificação dos problemas relacionados à saúde e moradia, além de aumentar a vulnerabilidade das pessoas aos seus efeitos.
