Abstract: Our results suggest that plasma concentrations of ADMA and homocysteine are increased in SCF and also that these are independent predictors of SCF.

“…The first frame was defined by a column of contrast extending across >70% of the arterial lumen anterograde motion. 9 The normal frame counts for the left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery is 36 + 2.3 frames, and the mean for the left circumflex coronary artery is 22.2 + 3.8 frames. Hence, the longer LAD frame counts are corrected by dividing by 1.7 to derive the corrected TFC as described earlier.…”

“…The right coronary artery is 21.7 + 2.8 frames. 9 Coronary angiograms were judged with regard to smooth appearance, luminal wall irregularities, epicardial local or diffuse caliber reduction, and stenosis. Coronary arteries were classified as normal on the basis of visual assessment of the absence of any luminal irregularities.…”

“…Increased serum uric acid (27), circulating soluble CD40 (28), resistin (29), asymmetric dimethylarginine, homocysteine levels (30), besides decreased serum paraoxonase activity (2), serum adiponectin (31), and nitric oxide (30), levels was reported to be associated with the presence of CSF. Ahead of inflammatory and oxidative stress markers, markers of blood viscosity were also reported to be related with CSF (32).…”

“…Pekdemir et al showed that endothelin-1 (ET-1) was higher and NO concentration was lower in patients with SCF than in a matched group of control subjects, and it was suggested that this situation was due to endothelial dysfunction 22. The plasma levels of NO were also found to be lower in patients with SCF than in normal subjects 23,24…”
