“Polish Up Yourself and Be No Drag:” The Joy and Jeopardy of Reading Anglophone Caribbean Literature in Translation

Abstract: Caribbean literature is still under-represented in Eastern Europe, an error of exclusion that the present paper ventures to discuss. For decades Polish publishers have been understandably replicating metropolitan canons, zigzagging between European and American bestsellers.
