At the very end of this book, it becomes clear as to what extent processes and characteristics of deprived communities are complex, and it is impossible to provide answers based on the actions of only a single profession. From its inception, social work has been closely linked to numerous professions, and integration of knowledge is inherent for social work as a profession. The corpus of theoretical knowledge which social work has inherited is based on theories for social work (Howe 2016), theories that contribute to social work (Payne 2014), theories on social work (Payne 2014), and theories that help in understanding users and societies as well as theories on social work interventions (Collingwood and Davies 2008). In fact, this is how heterogeneous sources of knowledge create the collaborative space for other disciplines and professions.
