Polymorphism in Metarhizium anisopliae var. anisopliae (Hypocreales: Clavicipitaceae) based on internal transcribed spacer-RFLP, ISSR and intron markers

Abstract: ABSTRACT.Isolates of entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae var. anisopliae were characterized using internal transcribed spacer-RFLP, ISSR and intron splice site primers. Thirtyseven isolates were studied, most of which were obtained from the sugar cane pest, Mahanarva fimbriolata (Hemiptera: Cercopidae) from Tangará da Serra, Southwest Mato Grosso State, Brazil. Internal transcribed spacer-RFLP did not differentiate the isolates of M. anisopliae var. anisopliae, while ISSR and intron primers identifi… Show more

“…Penelitian mengenai perbedaan genetik M. anisopliae dengan berbagai macam metode sudah banyak dilakukan di luar Indonesia (Tiago et al 2011;Nishi et al 2017;Serna-Domínguez et al 2019;Korosi et al 2019). Akan tetapi, di Indonesia khususnya Sumatera Utara, penelitian mengenai perbedaan genetik M. anisopliae belum pernah dilakukan.…”

“…This ISSR marker did demonstrate differences among different isolates of M. anisopliae var. anisopliae of the same origin and from the same host, principally when using the primers (GACA) 4 and (GTG) 5 , providing DNA fi ngerprints for a number of isolates (TIAGO et al, 2011). The genetic structure of Metarhizium spp.…”
