Potentiality of lytic bacteriophages and their virolysins in lysing multi-drug resistant Salmonella typhi

Abstract: Bacteriophage virolysins or lytic enzymes are bacterial peptidoglycan hydrolases responsible for lysing bacterial cells. Consequently, they are used as enzybiotics alongside with bacteriophage therapy to remedy multi-drug resistant Salmonella typhi.
