Prediction for Virtual Photon Cross Section in Deep Inelastic ep Scattering from the Reaction e++e-->Formula+Anything Based on the Generalized Vector Meson Dominance
Abstract:By the use of the Generalized Vector Meson Dominance, the virtual photon cross section in deep inelastic ep scattering is predicted from the reaction e+ +e--'7}) +anything. The prediction depends. on the-ratio R=a(e+e-"'7hadrons)/a(e+e-"'7tt+tr) and we can get a good fit assuming R:::::2 which is due to usual· vector mesons. Our model .predicts the decrease of 11T(VN) with increasing mv'.
