A few types of hybrid POM structures with different functional organoarsonate group have been reported, including {Mo 5 O 15 (O 3 AsR) 2 } 4– (R = Me, Et, Pr, CH 2 CH 2 CH 2 ), {Mo 4 O 10 (O 3 AsR) 4 } 4– , {Mo 6 O 18 (O 3 AsR) 2 } 4– , and {Mo 12 O 34 (O 3 AsR) 4 } 4– (R = Ph, MeC 6 H 4 , 4‐H 2 NC 6 H 4 , 4‐HOC 6 H 4 , 4‐HO 2 CC 6 H 4 , 3‐O 2 N,4‐HOC 6 H 3 , 4‐NCC 6 H 4 , 3‐C 2 H 4 ON,4‐HOC 6 H 3 ) . It is noted that the commercial use of benzylarsonic acid as an efficient collector in flotation has not been studied in terms of polyoxometalates, and it is promising to form such hybrid compounds by the introduction of the benzyl group to coordinate both the structures and properties towards a functional complex material.…”
