“…Apart from the mentioned studies, starch has also been used as complexing agent on the sol–gel preparation of nanosized particles of itrium orthovanadate doped with disprosium and with samarium cations, with potential applications as phosphors in high‐definition flat displays as well as in the preparation of photoluminescent ZnO or CdSe NPs.
