“…It is more difficult to recover phenol from the aqueous solution because the radius of a phenol molecule (0.6 nm) is larger than that of a water molecule (0.27 nm) . At present, there are many methods to recover phenol from aqueous solution, such as adsorption, , electrodialysis, photocatalytic, biodegradation, , ultrasound-assisted electrochemical, ozone oxidation, and membrane separation technology. However, these methods suffer from the problems of high cost, high energy consumption, easy to cause secondary pollution, and/or poor selectivity.
