Preparation and investigation of properties of deproteinized natural rubber nanocomposites incorporating functionalized nano‐alumina by in situ emulsion polymerization

Abstract: The present study reports the preparation, characterization, and investigation of properties of DNR/f-Al 2 O 3 nanocomposites through an in situ emulsion polymerization technique. The method consists of the dispersion of pretreated nanoalumina (f-Al 2 O 3 NPs) onto deproteinized natural rubber (DNR) latex, followed by the polymerization reaction with the K 2 S 2 O 8 /K 2 S 2 O 5 redox initiation system, after deproteinization of natural rubber using urea in the presence of a surfactant.

“…79-1558. 55 The NiONPs XRD spectrum (Figure 6b) revealed strong and distinct peaks at 2θ = 37.20, 43.20, 62.87, 75.18, and 79.22°that correspond to (1 1 1), (2 0 0), (2 2 0), (3 1 1), and (2 2 2) crystalline planes, respectively. These NiONP diffraction measurements corroborated the formation of a spherical crystalline phase of NiO and corresponded to the JCPDS map of NiO 04-0835.…”
