“…The GW-ZnTIPAPc conjugate had more than doubled the half-life of both GW-ZnMCPPc and GW-ZnTCPPc, further supporting the efficiency of the latter conjugates in degrading the pollutant. The kobs values (and % efficiencies) are highly dependent on the concentration of the analyte, however, Table 3 shows that the values in this work are comparable to those reported in literature and even better in some cases [43][44][45][46]. Furthermore, the degradation of methyl orange (3.3 × 10 -5 M) by the GW-Pc conjugates was investigated under different light sources, namely, white light (λ~380-750 nm), in the presence of a blue light (λ~450-495 nm), Thorlabs M530L3 LED (λ ~ 530 nm), Thorlabs M730L3 LED (λ ~ 730 nm) and Modulight 7710-690 RHO laser system (λ ~ 690 nm).…”

“…Considering that photocatalysts resulting from the association of porphyrins with either TiO 2 or organic polymers are very effective for the photodegradation of organic pollutants, in 2012, Qi and co-workers 203 prepared a fibrous polymer mat-supported Fe 3 Cl–TiO 2 and used it in the photodegradation of azo dyes. The photocatalyst could degrade MO and other azo dyes in up to 98.5% in 5 h. Even after four cycles, the degradation rate remains at 87.0%.…”
