Abstract:Objectives: The present investigation is concerned with formulation and evaluation of mucoadhesive buccal tablets containing antidiabetic drug, glimepiride, to circumvent the first pass effect and to improve its bioavailability with reduction in dosing frequency and dose related side effects.
