Preparation of Prussian Blue Containing Polymeric Nanocapsule via Interfacial Confined Coordination in Crosslinked Inverse Miniemulsion

Abstract: This work presents a simple and facile strategy for the creation of Prussian blue containing polymeric nanocapsules. An crosslinked inverse miniemulsion with a formula of water/ K4Fe(CN)6/1,2-bis-(-2-iodoethyl) ethane(BIEE)/ toluene/ PDMAEMA-b-PS stabilizer mixture was prepared as soft template firstly. A crosslinking nanocapsule structure with K4Fe(CN)6 in water core could be achieved by a crosslinking reaction between PDMAEMA-b-PS stabilizers and BIEE. Upon the following addition of FeCl3 ether solution into… Show more

“…This phenomenon further illustrates that a portion of C. arvensis accumulated on the polymer shell of the nanoparticles, which prevents the polymer shell during thermal decomposition. The results of this report agreed with the previous publication [53], who assumed that the Prussian blue formed in the polymer shell hindered the thermal degradation of polymeric nanocapsules.…”

“…Reverse microemulsions are the same as equilibrated systems in nanoscale size, which exhibit thermodynamic stability. Nowadays, reverse microemulsions have been served as soft templates for effectively controlling the formation of PB/PBAs nanostructure with special advantages. , Reaction conditions, involving surfactant dosage, molar ratio, and precursor concentration, are highly related to the shape of PB/PBAs nanostructures. Novel PB/PBAs nanocomposite functional materials can also be prepared by the reverse micellar technique; meanwhile, other facile chemical methods, which can decrease or even eliminate the employment of organic solvents and can be easily used to obtain a nanoscale solid for improving application scope, are still being sought.…”

“…The nanozyme pads synthesized from different concentrations of FeCl 3 were utilized to monitor the effect of the content of PB NPs. 35,37 As the FeCl 3 concentration increased in the range from 0.25 mM to 2.0 mM, the pads displayed enhancing blue color (Fig. 3A and B), demonstrating the synthesis of increasing contents of PB NPs in the pads.…”
