Background-Device implant pocket hematoma is a recognized complication after permanent pacemaker (PM) and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) implantation. Pocket hematoma is associated with local discomfort, an increased risk of infection, and may require surgical intervention or lead to lengthier hospital stays.
