“…The high rates of suicide attempts by SIB in these regions have been attributed to several factors, namely: the 'dowry' system [2,[19][20][21], the influence of Ancient Greeks [22], religious influences [23,24], sanguine marriages [25], the traditional style of Kurdish women's clothing [26], and even the possible contamination with natural sour gas containing hydrogen sulfide [27].
