Preventive measures significantly reduced the risk of nosocomial infection in elderly inpatients during the COVID‑19 pandemic

Abstract: In December 2019, there was an outbreak of pneumonia of unknown causes in Wuhan, China. The etiological pathogen was identified to be a novel coronavirus, named severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus type 2 (SARS-CoV-2), which causes coronavirus disease 2019 .
